Here is a tidbit of trivia about Moffat County.  Moffat County was formed from the western two-thirds of Routt COunty on February 27, 1911, with Craig as the county seat.  This information can be found in Craig, Colorado A Pictorial History 1889-1990 by Daniel K. Davidson.
In January of 1964 Louis Wyman along with E.K. Callawy, Rogar Johnson, Louise Miller and Irene Rasmussen was appointed to the first board of the Moffat County Museum.  They with the help of many other volunteers set up the museum inside the old portion of the courthouse.  This museum opened in 1968 and was in the same location until 1991.  The museum was then moved into the Old Armory and was renamed the Museum of Northwest Colorado.  This information and a photo of the first board can be found in Craig, Colorado A Pictorial History 1889-1990 written by Daniel K. Davidson.
